God Calls Us

“You did not choose me. Rather, I chose you. And I appointed you to go out and bear fruit, fruit that will remain.” Jn 15:16

God calls each of his children by name and that calling is written in each of our hearts. Every vocation is a response to his love (1 Jn 4:19), and is a calling to give oneself in a specific way to God and to others. This impels us to ask God freely: What is the path that you are inviting me to take so as to love you better and serve others?

Consecrated life is a calling to give oneself to the Lord, being at the service of the Church. It means accepting his invitation to consecrate one’s life in a particular way, living the Christian life through the evangelical counsels of poverty, consecrated chastity and obedience.

Men and women dedicate their lives to serving God in different Institutes of Consecrated Life or Societies of Apostolic Life, each with their own charism.

The Vocation

The Lord calls us to make an apostolic commitment to help every human being respond first and foremost to the calling to holiness which is from where the vocational path springs naturally as a response to God’s love.
